Smart City Command & Control Systems Testing Begins
Dholera, Gujarat, India:
Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) has entered a key implementation stage as testing of its Smart City Command and Control Center (ICCC) systems has officially begun. These systems are designed to digitally monitor and manage multiple urban services from a single centralized platform.
The command and control infrastructure will integrate data from various city functions, including traffic movement, water supply, power distribution, street lighting, solid waste management, and public safety systems. During the trial phase, authorities are assessing system responsiveness, data accuracy, and inter-department coordination.
Officials involved in the project stated that the testing phase will help fine-tune operational workflows, ensure seamless communication between departments, and identify technical improvements before full-scale activation. Advanced analytics and dashboard-based monitoring will allow real-time decision-making and faster response to urban issues.
The system is also expected to support emergency management by enabling quick coordination between police, fire services, and medical teams. Live camera feeds, sensor data, and alert mechanisms will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and operational efficiency across the city.
Once fully operational, the Smart City Command and Control Center will form the digital backbone of Dholera’s urban governance, supporting its vision of a future-ready, technology-driven city. The initiative aligns with national smart city objectives and strengthens Dholera’s positioning as a model industrial and urban hub.
