The Dholera Activation Zone continues to see steady progress as authorities advance critical infrastructure works to support early development and prepare the region for large-scale industrial and urban investments within Dholera Smart City.

Development activities in the Activation Zone include the construction of internal road networks capable of supporting industrial and commercial traffic. Alongside roads, underground utility corridors are being developed to house power supply lines, water pipelines, sewerage systems, and telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring a well-planned and clutter-free urban environment. Advanced stormwater drainage and flood-management systems are also being implemented to ensure long-term resilience.

Officials from the Dholera Special Investment Region Development Authority (DSIRDA) have indicated that the Activation Zone serves as a demonstration area showcasing Dholera’s on-ground readiness. By offering serviced land parcels with essential infrastructure already in place, the zone aims to significantly reduce project setup timelines for investors and developers.

The Activation Zone is strategically positioned to support early industrial units, logistics facilities, commercial developments, and institutional projects. Its connectivity is further strengthened by proximity to key regional infrastructure such as the Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway, the proposed rail corridor, and the upcoming Dholera International Airport.

In addition to physical infrastructure, the Activation Zone integrates smart city features, including digital monitoring systems, energy-efficient utilities, and future-ready urban planning standards. These initiatives align with Dholera’s broader vision under the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) initiative.

As infrastructure work continues, the Activation Zone is expected to act as a catalyst for wider growth across the Dholera Special Investment Region. Industry experts believe timely completion of these foundational developments will boost investor confidence and trigger the next phase of industrial, residential, and commercial expansion in the smart city.
