Western Railway Floats ₹18,901.68 Crore EPC Tender for Sarkhej–Dholera Rail Corridor

Western Railway has invited Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) bids worth ₹18,901.68 crore for the Sarkhej–Dholera Semi High-Speed Double Line Rail Corridor in Gujarat.

The tender covers the construction of the proposed rail corridor connecting Sarkhej in Ahmedabad with Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR). The scope includes civil works, track laying, bridges, stations, signalling, electrification, telecommunication systems, and other railway infrastructure.

The project follows the Union Cabinet's approval of the 134-km Ahmedabad (Sarkhej)–Dholera Semi High-Speed Double Line Rail Project, estimated at ₹20,667 crore. Once completed, the corridor is expected to improve passenger and freight connectivity while supporting major developments such as Dholera International Airport and the region's industrial ecosystem.

The tender marks an important step toward the execution of one of Gujarat's key infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening connectivity between Ahmedabad and Dholera.
